Today (21 August 2019) at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw, the world-famous band Metallica will play a concert as part of this year’s WorldWired Tour.

The team has been performing for the 12th time in Poland and will be at the National Stadium for the second time. There is probably no person in the world who would not know at least a few Metallica songs. Songs such as “Enter Sandman”, “Master of Puppets”, “Nothing Else Matters” and “Unforgiven” are simply classics of contemporary music. The band went on tour to promote their latest album “Hardwired … To Self-Destruct”.

Metallica was founded in Lost Angeles in the early 80s. In 1991, as many as 766 thousand records were sold in Poland. The album “Hardwired … To Self-Destruct” was the second best-selling album in Poland in 2016 – despite the fact that it didn’t go on sale until November.

In 1999, Metallica played for 30,000. spectators at the Gwardia stadium as part of the tour promoting the album “Garage INC”. In 2010, Metallica performed at the Sonisphere Festival at the airport in Bemowo together with the iconic bands Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax. The band returned to Bemowo airport two years later, and in 2014 metal classics played a concert at the National Stadium in Warsaw. Five years later, Metallica returns to the Stadium.

So far, Metallica has played over 150 concerts on four continents. In addition to the material from the album “Hardwired … to Self-Destruct” they also perform their hits from years ago.

If you don’t have a ticket for the group’s upcoming concert yet, nothing is lost. The tickets went away very quickly. However, an additional pool of tickets was added at the last minute.

The atmosphere of sleeping in a tent, backache, canned food or external toilets are just a few reasons why camping was probably not an option during your longed-for vacation. However, if you miss a sense of closeness to nature on trips, it’s worth discovering Glamping. It is a combination of “glamor” with “camping” and is conquering Europe.

Their location is usually in forests or in the middle of nowhere, but they are nothing like the nightmare associated with a camping site. Glamping is closer to a hotel than to a camping. Inside you will find everything you need for a perfect rest: a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom equipped with a bathtub and toilet (and sometimes even much more)…

This business is taking its first steps in Poland, but there is no shortage of lovers of luxurious communing with nature. This is a great compromise for busy people who need space and distance from the city, but who value comfortable conditions.

Glamping does not always look the same, it can be a luxury tent, a charming tree house with air conditioning or a vintage trailer. Often, owners also offer various SPA services.

Everyone will find something for themselves, but remember that glamping has become extremely fashionable at an express pace, so you need to think about reservations much earlier.

I present a list of 5 glampings that delight in every respect:

  1. Tatra Glamp – an amazing view of the mountains is the biggest advantage of this place. You can calm down here. The Podhale climate and tents called klapnioki are a perfect combination.
  2. 4rest Glamp – each of the modern yurts is designed for two people who value comfort. You can also relax in the sauna or tub. The most important aspect of this place is, undeniably, closeness to nature.
  3. Glendoria – probably the most known glemping in Poland, a real Masurian idyll. It is a farm of the 1930s, but the tents are a real hit. Located away from the hustle and bustle, right next to the forest, guaranteeing intimacy and silence. Decorated with colonial furniture, which resemble Asian luxury atmosphere. Outside, each of the tents is equipped with a private fireplace. The property also offers Camp Spa services.
  4. “W drzewach” (In the trees) – a tree house, a dream for every childhood. Now you can finally make it come true by going to Nałęczów. There we will find 3 unique “apartments” designed in a tasteful and minimalist style. Thanks to the wooden construction and huge windows you can feel a real connection with nature. Fourth house is a sky SPA. What more could you want?
  5. Hobbitówa – we will find here only natural raw materials, such as clay, wood, stone or straw. If you have something hippie in you, this place will be your second home. The forest hut is equipped with a clay kitchen, an oven and a brick shower. Everything is also very eco, an example is water that comes from rain. The huge, panoramic window is a place where you can spend hours, in a blanket with a cup of tea watching the surroundings. The house is suspended on a slope, and in front of it is the San River gorge.

We encourage you to contact our office if you want to experience this luxury adventure of your life and escape the rush of big cities.

Poland soared 10 places up, compared to last year’s position, ranking 13th among ideal locations for expats. Who are expats? They are specialists who went abroad to work.

Good marks for Poland in this year’s edition are due to the easy balance between work and private life, so-called work / life balance, as well as the possibility of pursuing career development or improving professional and private skills. Poland is becoming an increasingly popular direction on the business map of the world. More and more people see the potential of both the inhabitants of the country and its economy. The location of Poland is very strategic and the costs of living are relatively low. Apart from that, of course, beautiful landscapes, vibrant cities and rich history are only some aspects that attract expats to our country.

The HSBC Expat ranking was implemented by YouGov at the request of HSBC and concerned various aspects of life and work outside of the country of origin, such as conditions for raising children, salary or ease of acclimatization.

The top three rankings include Switzerland, Singapore and Canada. The ranking includes a total of 33 countries. People who have moved to Switzerland declare that their quality of life has improved significantly, the state is also considered clean and attractive. Singapore, on the other hand, is considered the best place to move with children, and Canada is distinguished by friendliness towards foreign guests.

“Do it in Warsaw” is a true inspiration for an interesting way to spend your free time.  It is very alternative and it focuses not only on sightseeing, but mostly on making the best out of every moment in Warsaw – it is also super fun for people who are Warsaw citizens.

As we speak about original guides, here comes one more “Get your head around the city”. This one is more about things we can but in Warsaw, where to eat or drink. Also fun, but less creative.

Crumpled City Map of Warsaw. When I travel, my biggest problem is to hold the map in this way that it won’t tear up or crumple too much. With this gift all of this kind of worries just go away! Light, extremely durable and waterproof map that you can bend without fear of tearing. It is very convenient, handy and the most important – fun!

Next idea is very functional, because who doesn’t start a day with a cup of hot coffee? MamSam creates fun cups with a wide variety of texts on it – you can choose just “Warsaw” or your favorite district, like “Żoliborz” or “Mokotów”. The style of the mugs reminds of polish communism times, where you could drink out of cups like this in all local pubs and restaurants. Now they have become super trendy!

Do you have enough boring socks? You can choose from dozens of versions of the Palace of Culture, graphics with a mermaid or a Chopin monument. And you get them at a machine (just like the ones with water and snacks) in the hall of the Warsaw Library.

Something for food lovers – honey! Since 2013 on top of Warsaw skyscrapers, you can find beehives, it sounds pretty weird, but it is true. You can buy a jar of honey from all districts and I can promise you that each one tastes differently! Not only delicious, but also very eco.

Warsaw is a very touristic city, so everyone will find something perfect for a unique gift.  Contact us, and we promise you won’t regret this marvelous adventure that is about to happen!
