Warsaw welcomes the best in Polish and international cinema

The 26th Warsaw International Film Festival gets underway in October, and this year the 10-day event will be bigger and better than ever.
Organisers promise art-house offerings, insightful documentaries and big-budget films from every corner of the globe between 8 and 17 October this year in what is Poland's premier celebration of film. There will also be a special emphasis on up-and-coming Polish talent hoping to become the next Wajda or Polanski.
Awards will be presented to the best international feature, best documentary and best short among others and all films entering the festival will be competing for the prestigious Audience Award which has been won in the by The Full Monty in 1997 and Dead Poets Society 20 years ago.
